Tony and Ann welcome you to "Les Prats" Treignac. Despite the comical name, "Les Prats" is fast becoming synonymous with luxury bed and breakfast, and excellent gite holiday accommodation in the beautiful Correze region of the Limousin.

Set in one acre of garden surrounded by majestic oak trees, Les Prats offers the opportunity for a relaxing holiday or short break. Capture the real essence of country living; french style, whilst you tuck into a chunk of french bread and tasty cheese, washed down with an affordable bottle of wine!!

LES PRATS is a stunning barn, completed in 1914 of stone, rumoured to be from the chateau that sat on the side of the river in the grounds. Now brought back to life by Tony and Ann who created this oasis in the heart of the Limousin, which they are delighted to share with you. Situated just off the D16 between Chamberet and Treignac, easily reached from exit 43 of the A20. A great stopover point if you are traveling to the south coast or Spain, approximately 7 hrs from the channel ports.

A typical breakfast consists of juice, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, fresh croissants, assorted pastries washed down with a pot of freshly brewed tea or coffee. You may of course decide to take breakfast on the veranda to enjoy the morning sun. Any guests staying for longer periods will also be offered a cooked breakfast by way of a change.

From our gites at Les Prats you can travel north to Haute Vienne and Creuse, east to the Massif Central ski areas, south to the Dordogne and west to the Perigord-Limousin nature park. Les Prats is a great holiday location for lovers of natural beauty with interests in walking, cycling and fishing. Alternatively, you can just pick up a book, soak up some sun and relax with just the sounds of the birds around you.

The Correze has many beautiful villages, steeped in history, hosting local markets, fetes and fairs. The countryside is peppered with lakes, surrounded with dense forest, and the rivers of the Vezere and Dordogne meander through many towns, a source of riverside cafes at their best. The Limousin is now one of the top destinations for people leaving the UK. The Correze is ideal for those not wanting the hustle and bustle of the Dordogne, or the enclaves of British that often spring up in the more popular southern departments. For house hunting, each area is well served by local immobiliers (estate agents).
